Shipwreck: “The schooner Henry of Weymouth, has it is feared been lost. A few days since a telegram was received from Great Yarmouth stating that a smack of that port (not named) agreed with the Henry to tow her for 130l. The smack, the telegram stated, took the Henry in tow at 8 o’clock on Friday morning, and towed her until 8 the same evening, when it is said someone on board the schooner let go the rope. The smack laid by the schooner for some time, and a sea was seen to strike the Henry , carrying away her boat and doing other damage. It then became dark, and no more was seen of her, and no tidings of her have since come to hand. A letter has been received by Mr. Gibbs, of Portland, part owner of the Henry, confirming the telegram, but giving no further detail. The Henry was about 110 tons burden, and her crew consisted, it is said, of five hands, Captain White, of Portland, being the master. Ship Incident of a Local Vessel
