Times: Thursday, May 25, 1882, Issue 30516 – “The Great Western, steamer from Cherbourg, which arrived at Weymouth yesterday, reports having been in a collision with the Hermann, German Schooner, Captain Hoop, from Granton for St Petersburg. The latter vessel sank. The crew were saved and landed at Weymouth.”
