Cutter – Captain J. Summers. Cargo, Barley. (LARN) Ran ashore in thick for near the lifeboat station and later due to wide and tide was carried on the Broad Bench, some distance off Kimmeridge Ledge. The boat overturned drowning one man, the master held on until rescued by the lifeboat. Ref. Southern Times: 27/03/1886; BOT: Wk. Rtn 1886 Appx.
