Steamship – Captain R. T. B. Harvey. LARN; South Devon 1918 & Clarke: GPS; 50 21.38N; 03 24.37W Torpedoed by German Submarine UB-103, Kapitanleutnant Paul Hundius. Eighteen of her crew were lost, including the Captain. 26 survivors were picked up by sea patrols and landed at Torquay. Note: UB-103 was sighted the next day by patrolling airship Z-1 which reported its position to surface warships as it attempted to pass the Dover barrage. It was sunk by depth charges. Refs.
