SISTERS

Schooner of Exeter – Cargo COAL Two Coastguards and four crew were rewarded for this schooner which capsized and sunk a mile off Peveril Ledge. Captain, six men and a boy aboard. (LARN & Farr: p89) She had been a new vessel the previous Christmas, and there was a large loss of life for such a small vessel, some of whom must have been hovellers or trimmers. Swanage.
